Awaken Your Child’s Power is a Wellness Program that has been designed to Enhance the Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Health Of the Child (6-13 yrs.)
If the foundation of the building is strong the rest of the building can stay stand firm over it for years. The same rule applies to our life. General education is provided in the schools but Life Skills; a child learns from his environment and experiences from time to time. If kids are physically and mentally sound, they can scale any height and achieve greater goals in their lives. However, life is full of challenges for kids too. In schools, homes, playing grounds, and other areas, they face many challenges. But few kids are taught how to handle the situation. Some kids even do not share their feelings with their parents.
Do Kids Have Stress?
Yes! Kids do have stress and anxiety. Children and teenagers notice and react to stress in their families and also experience their own stress. It is important to recognize stress in children and teenagers and help them with healthy coping strategies. The strategies they learn often stay with them into adulthood. Generally, anything that may cause children fear and anxiety can cause stress. This can include being away from home, starting a new school or moving to a new location, being separated from parents or caregivers, worrying about school and getting along with others, worrying about their changing bodies, and worrying about the future.
Awaken Your Child’s program has been designed to enhance the overall well-being such as physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of the child. It is tailored to support them and help them overcome their challenges.
Program Activities
Awaken Your Child's Power has 3 parts
1) Physical Activities
- Basic Yoga (simple and easy postures to increase Memory, Focus, Concentration and to deal with stress, anger, fear, behavior issues)
- Hand Yoga (Mudra)
- Healthy eating and personal Hygiene awareness session
1) Mental Activities
- Color Therapy – Color Therapy has always been used to heal stress and become more creative. Special coloring images are used which will help a child to work on the hidden potential.
- Music Therapy – Therapeutic music is used that works on the neural pathways to develop a positive attitude.
1) Spiritual Activities
- Mindfulness – a simple meditation technique for kids to follow.
- Breathing exercises (Pranayama). Breath is life. Conscious breathing helps to purify the energies in the physical body.
- Chanting of Mantras helps to awaken the dormant energies in the mind and body.
